A waitlist that fills cancellations for you
When a lesson is cancelled, Passdesk sends push offers to the matching learners on the waitlist, and the first to tap "claim" gets the slot.
What's included
- Students opt in to a waitlist for any time window
- Cancel a lesson → Passdesk fires push offers to matching students
- First to tap "claim" gets the slot; everyone else sees "already taken"
- Audit log shows every offer sent + claimed (for any disputes)
- No app download needed: offers arrive by Web Push
- Optional SMS fallback on every plan, included up to a monthly fair-use limit
How the Passdesk waitlist fills a cancellation
- 1
Student joins the waitlist
A learner picks the day or time window they want and joins the waitlist. They allow push notifications when prompted.
- 2
A slot opens
When you cancel a lesson (or it cancels itself, e.g. weather), Passdesk picks the matching waitlist students and fires push offers.
- 3
First-come-first-served claim
Whoever taps "claim" first gets the slot. The booking moves to them and their package balance updates.
FAQ
Do students need to download an app?
No — Web Push works on any modern phone. The student gets the offer like any other notification, with a one-tap claim.
What about students without push?
Every plan can fall back to SMS for offers. Texts are included up to your plan’s monthly fair-use limit, at no extra charge. Email-only fallback is also available.
Can multiple students claim the same slot?
No — the claim is a server-side first-write-wins lock. Anyone who taps later sees "already taken" and stays on the list for the next opening.
