FAQ for solo instructors
I’m a one-person operation. Which tier do I need?
The Instructor tier (£19/mo). It covers up to 60 active learners (passed learners never count) with you as the only instructor, and anyone who helps in the office joins free. Move up to Pro (£49/mo) when you take on your first instructor.
Can I bring my existing learners and packages?
Yes — paste your current webpage and Passdesk imports your products. Students upload via spreadsheet, or you can re-invite them by email so they bring their own theory progress.
How does it compare to a franchise?
Passdesk isn't a franchise, so there are no franchise fees, rate splits or uniform rules. You keep your own brand, students and bookings, and your school is listed automatically at passdesk.co.uk/schools so learners can find you. If you teach for a school that franchises its instructors on Passdesk, your fees and statements are in the app too.
Will I outgrow Passdesk?
No — the same workspace scales from 1 instructor to a multi-school group. The only thing that changes is the tier you pay for and which features you turn on.
Do I need a card reader for in-car payments?
No. Send a Stripe payment link by SMS or share a QR code — the student pays from their phone and the money lands in your connected Stripe account.
